Introduction

This is an attempt to create a multilingual Bologna term database using Wiki technology to enable massively distributed addition and feedback. Initially, the right to add or amend pages to this Wiki will be restricted to University Language Centres in the Netherlands. Ultimately, these rights will be extended to translation companies in each of the signatory states to the Bologna accords.

Please feel free to add comments or new terms to this or any other page in this Wiki. You can add new terms by clicking on the New Page link at the top left of this page:

This video shows you how to use existing templates to simplify record entry.

If you wish to enter comments on terms in the wiki, you can do so as follows:

Alternatively you can use the following procedure.

You can then fill in a name for the new page (this can be anything you like, such as the new term in your own language, for example)

The next page (which is selected by default) is called Term Page Layout, this is a template that I have created, consisting of various labels and language tags. These are just text strings, and they are not vital to the working of this wiki, they are just labels for the convenience of the reader. You can add more labels, change them or delete them as you see fit. Feel free to play around. This is just a practice environment to give you a feel of what you can do with a Wiki.

After entering your terms against the appropriate language tags, you can enter a description of the page if you wish (I usually don't do this when creating a new page, but I can see that it might be useful when editing an existing page, so that anyone checking the edit history of the page can see why you made the changes that you did).
More important are the tags which are the terms separated by a comma, these are used in the Wikis index, as a way of searching for the record.

Here is a short video clip to demonstrate one way of creating new term records in the wiki:
